Hong Kong's business landscape is reaching new heights with a record number of overseas and Mainland companies and start-ups!🌟 The latest 2025 surveys show that our city continues to strengthen its role as a premier global business hub: 11,070 companies in Hong Kong now have parent companies from the Chinese Mainland or overseas – an 11% leap from 2024. These companies employ 509,000 people, with employment growing by 3% year-on-year. Hong Kong’s startup ecosystem also continues to expand at a double-digit percentage, reaching a record 5,221 enterprises in 2025. Meanwhile, InvestHK assisted a record number of 560 overseas and Mainland companies set up or expand their businesses in Hong Kong last year, representing a 4% rise compared to 2024.
