Financial Secretary Paul Chan continued his engagements at the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos yesterday (Jan 20), joining Vice Premier of the State Council He Lifeng’s Special Address and connecting with senior officials, international organisations, and business leaders from around the world. He shared Hong Kong’s latest developments and unique strengths as an international financial centre, particularly our balanced approach to digital assets: proactive yet prudent. He noted that Hong Kong licensed 11 virtual asset trading platforms since 2023, while a stablecoin licensing regime is coming later this year.
