Conquered! Another incredible edition of the Aberdeen Boat Club’s legendary Four Peaks Race (Jan 18) is in the books! For over 40 years, this unique 24-hour challenge has pushed sailors and runners to their limits across Hong Kong’s land and sea — and this year absolutely lived up to its epic reputation. The adventure began on January 17 as boats set sail from Tai Tam Bay toward Lantau, where runners took on the mighty 934m Lantau Peak. Then it was on to Mount Stenhouse on Lamma Island — climbed in the dark — before dashing to Hong Kong Island to tackle Violet Hill. And just when you thought it couldn’t get tougher, the final leg to Sai Kung tested everyone’s grit, with some runners even kayaking over a kilometer to shore before ascending Ma On Shan! This year, the teams faced thrilling conditions, including gusts up to 35 knots off Stanley! By Sunday afternoon, all boats had crossed the finish line, concluding another chapter of endurance, strategy and teamwork. Since 1985, the Four Peaks Race has remained Hong Kong’s one-and-only multi-sport test of sailing, trail running and kayaking excellence. It’s more than a race — it’s a legacy. Congratulations to every sailor, runner, organiser and supporter! Photos: Aberdeen Boat Club #hongkong #brandhongkong #asiasworldcity #dynamichk #megaevents #megaHK #FourPeaksRace
